I recently upgraded my RealPlayer (freeware) to RealPlayer 11. This was primarily to make it compatible with Firefox 3.0.3 which had a tendency to crash on exiting until I upgraded. The only reason I have RealPlayer in the first place was to play 3gp files uploaded from my phone. My laptop which I bought in April would not play them on the media player on Vista HP. I was recommended with a pop up to install RP as a plug in. I was comparatively new to downloading & didn't think twice about it. I accidentally left it as 'default' on the download but I don't remember giving any details to the parent company. I quite like it as software goes, it plays the files I have & I watch Nasa TV on it sometimes & often some streamed radio stations (RTE). However I am beginning to wonder if I have done the right thing. I have been told it is virtually impossible to uninstall & if you try they try to make you buy the advanced version. I have considered that as it looks quite good & does what I want it to do. I tried to join their forum just but I am having difficulty logging in. It recognises me as the newest member but won't let me log in! This could be an omen LOL. Have I done the wrong thing in downloading this application?
