Intended as a provocation is not at all bad. As a matter of fact the country
which is called Turkey was created 80 years ago after the collapse of the
Ottoman Empire on the territories occupied by it. By chance many of these
territories known as Minor Asia happened to be Greece till 1400 AD. Then the
3000 old thriving Greek communities have been reduced nowadays, to a mere
2500 community o mainly old people in their ancestrals lands. And what
happened to the also thriving Armenian population of Turkey? Virtually
nobody has survided to tell us their way to hell in their native land.
Today the so call Turkey consists of a state made from only 72 minorities
with more important in it the Kurdish one, that accounts for ~20% of the
population.
You all probably know which is the treatment that Turkey a so call
"democracy" has reserved so far for them. Displacement, torture, kidnapings
assassinations and for sure i miss other things. They even enter in Iraqi
territory to chase them but as usual the UN looks the other way the same way
as it does for Israel the last 50 years.
And you also know the fate of Cyprus which has its 37% of its territory
occupied by the Turkish army since 1974. Despite all the UN resolutions
against Turkey, she continues to sit on them unpunished. Besides the
occupation, assassinations, kidnappings, colonization, deprivation of the
most fundamental human rights, systematic destruction of its cultural
heritage, lootings, desecration of churches and I am sure missing things as
the list is long. She also went as far as to menace Cyprus (together with
the hypocrites of the EU and USA) with war 3 years ago, when Cyprus wanted
to install the defensive missile system of SS330 for its defence.
These is the country and the people that today are lecturing Greece on human
rights. I could take it as a bad joke but it is not.
