Ottawa can spend its money on much better things than hosting an event that is surely to draw massive protests from all quarters of Canadian society, such as providing for the needy and contributing to efforts to make Canada a "Zone of Peace" that forsakes the militaristic values embodied by NATO. Besides, I would hate to see my nations capital converted into yet another platform to heap adulation on and legitimize the Presidential ego of George W. Bush.
