Qlogic has Solaris drivers for certain iSCSI HBAs. See, for example,

This would be useful for Solaris 8 and 9 for example, where the
Solaris software initiator is not available.
For Solaris 2.5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 you can still find Cisco's iSCSI
Software initiator floating around. While Cisco won't distribute it
directly a large number of iSCSI storage vendors will still give it
out with their hardware.
