Gabriele,
The Superloader 3 is a surrogate device. The robotic controller is a
lun of the SCSI ID assigned to the tape drive. In sgen.conf you need to
setup a lun 1 for the drive SCSI ID. For example, if the SCSI ID of the
drive is 5, you need the following line:
name="sgen" class="scsi" target=5 lun=1;

Stephen

*Subject: **[storage-discuss] Quantum SuperLoader 3 on Solaris 10
AMD64 (v20z)*
I am still having trouble with my new Quantum SuperLoader 3 on a v20z
with Solaris 10.
After configuring the sgen.conf as always, the system is not creating
the correct device under /dev/scsi/changer, while it creates the rmt
devices.
After googling around, I found this document at Sun's site:
http://www.sun.com/io_technologies/S10List.html
it says that the SuperLoader is not Solaris ready for SolarisX64
(while it's ready for Solaris Sparc and Solaris x86).
Is there any patch to make it run on my v20z?
Thanx
Gabriele.
