According to a recent post on a Dell mailing list, it is possible
that this problem is a firmware issue. Other people are experiencing
the controller losing commands and eventually screwing up.
This means the driver is ok, but some controllers have issues.
However, I would still like help fixing up the Makefile for my code,
and eventually providing an installable package.
