Would this be VMWare's ESX product? We had one problem with that initiator

you used?

http://www.rpath.org/rbuilder/project/openfiler/release?id=5384 on VMware
workstation 5.5. Using the open-iscsi initiator.

I didn't take keep logs as it was a quick test. Checking my google search
history I was getting the following error: "iscsiadm: iscsid reported error
11 - iSCSI PDU timed out". I've pulled out another dev box and I'm planning
to retest things with a cleaner methodology so I can put together a more
detailed problem report.

Note, I used this same image as a iscsi target from Windows and it worked
fine, baring the performance of sharing an USB HDD back to the same system
over iscsi and vmware.

I too am surprised by your troubles. Enabling the shareiscsi property on a
ZVOL makes the iSCSI Target usage trivial.

Yeah, that bit is easy. A broken b59 install and iscsi target that doesn't
work on b55b is the pita. Of course it could be my configuration, however
I'm just using a default install.
