Joseph,
Yes, I am sure the replication disks are EFI labelled using format -e.
Thank you for checking.
Do I have to use identical disk for SNDR replica? Can I use
partition for bitmap volume?
No. The as long as the SNDR secondary is the same size or larger then
the SNDR primary, you are all set, and yes you can use any partition
for the SNDR bitmap volume.
I am concerned about the ZFS "FAULTED error.
$ [EMAIL PROTECTED] zpool import
pool: avsgroup
id: 17664002528387614747
state: FAULTED
status: One or more devices contains corrupted data.
action: The pool cannot be imported due to damaged devices or data.
see: http://www.sun.com/msg/ZFS-8000-5E
config:
avsgroup UNAVAIL insufficient replicas
c0t9d0 UNAVAIL corrupted data
I have never seen this problem, which leads me to believe that after
issuing a "zpool export avsgroup" on the SNDR secondary node
(avsx86), that ZFS still had data cached in the Solaris kernel. My
reason for saying this is as follows; While the ZFS storage pool was
imported on the SNDR secondary node, the SNDR primary node was
untouched and thus ZFS consistent. Starting the reverse update, only
reads write order consistent data.
If you place SNDR in logging mode, I wonder what status you get, if
you try "zpool import", without specifying the "avsgroup" name on
either node.
Jim
Thank you.
