Ideally, as we move forward with ComSTar it is our intent to hold off
on issues/features until the current iSCSI target has been migrated
into the ComSTar framework. That said, there will be issues that
come up in the current iSCSI target that will need to be addressed in
its current implementation. We will address those issues as needed.
I'm sure Tim can provide an update as to the status of the bug
referenced below.

As far as I'm concerned it should be release-critical for

It has in the meantime led me to recommend our production sites
against
using ZFS+iSCSI as a storage target for new projects, with the
caveat to
our solution architects that "Sun might fix the bug, no ETA".
Joshua, I agree with you that this is an important bug that needs
to be fixed ASAP, as I think it is causing people to hold back
from deploying the iscsi target in production.
Maybe Tim and/or Jim could give us an update to storage-discuss
on this bug.
The bug status is still at "6-Fix Understood (Fix is known)"

As we seem to be at the stage where development on the existing
iscsi taget code is to be wound down, and the new comstar project
ramped up, it would be useful to see a list/plan of the remaining
issues with the iscsi target that Sun plan to work on.
Thanks
