In regard to c# shift... With a lot of the FC support unbundled (in sfk) prior to s10, and now bundled in s10, even when hardware has not changed the available drivers (and aliases) can make solaris 'believe' that hardware has changed (it now has drivers/aliases for HBAs that were unsupported pre-s10).
