A snoop would be helpful.

thanks,

Nigel,

Thanks for the responses. I did see the debugging guide from Dave before I posted, but it didn't help my issue...But it did help me understand what's going on better. It's a better document than the documentation in the Filesystems and Devices Guide on docs.sun.com :)

I did do his suggested command though, and got this...
 iscsiadm list discovery-address -v
Discovery Address: 172.24.114.31:3260
Target name: iqn.1986-03.com.sun:02:0fb8bf68-bf02-e877-99cd- ab100852dfdb Target address: 172.24.114.31:3260, 1 Target name: iqn.1986-03.com.sun:02:0fb8bf68-bf02-e877-99cd- ab100852dfdb Target address: 172.24.115.31:3260, 1 Target name: iqn.1986-03.com.sun:02:0fb8bf68-bf02-e877-99cd- ab100852dfdb Target address: 0.0.0.0:3260, 1 Target name: iqn.1986-03.com.sun:02:0fb8bf68-bf02-e877-99cd- ab100852dfdb Target address: 0.0.0.0:3260, 1 Target name: iqn.1986-03.com.sun:02:0fb8bf68-bf02-e877-99cd- ab100852dfdb Target address: 0.0.0.0:3260, 1 Target name: iqn.1986-03.com.sun:02:0fb8bf68-bf02-e877-99cd- ab100852dfdb Target address: 0.0.0.0:3260, 1

The target host is multihomed, so I'm not surprised to see two entries, one for each NIC, but why the 0.0.0.0 entries?

I did convert to static mode, and that seems to be working fine. If someone wants a snoop, I'd be happy to convert back (I'm just playing around at the moment).
