Check to see if you get a sg or sgen driver ( find /devices -print |grep sgen or other methods). Also, show output of cfgadm -al. You can also look for the WWN in /devices.
I don't know netbackup, but HP's data protector uses it own driver, sst. which needs some tweaking to get right.
