This is kind of what I'm interested in for integration with Microsoft's Shadow Copy Client.
The Microsoft client gives a very user friendly way to work with snapshots and restore files. It's better than a normal backup program, but a poor man's time machine :) It already works with Samba (http://www.edplese.com/samba-with-zfs.html), so I'm crossing my fingers it will be supported in the Solaris CIFS Server soon.
