Why do you suspect this is an initiator bug? You could try looking in this file:
/var/svc/log/system-iscsitgt\:default.log ...on your Solaris box to see if the iscsi target is having a problem. If the target does have a problem, it often will restart automatically within a few seconds and the iscsi protocol can often recover the connection, so you may not notice this has happened.
