I think having more developers playing with OpenSolaris is great, but
I'm not sure we need another file system. I will also express some
concern about the potential difficulties of moving JFS to OpenSolaris
due to licensing (JFS is GPLv2, I believe). If this is going to be a
re-implementation of JFS licensing should not be an issue (as long as
the original source was not used for reference).
This all being said, I will give this proposal a

and I will offer to help the project team with any legal/ licensing
questions
