Are there any plans to implement the binding of Initiator connections to the specified IP Address list specified by the -c option when configuring a targets parameters? As it currently stands, I believe that standard network routing is leaned on heavily, so specifying multiple NICs on the same subnet using the -c option will work unreliably at best, and more likely, there will simply be multiple connections through the first IP Address listed in the -c option.
How things currently work is explained further in the following post: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=156459 The first reply by dweibel explains this. In my opinion, this is a bug in the iscsi initiator, although I have also been told that this is working as designed, even though it doesn't have this limitation reported in any documentation. Anybody have any information if there are going to be any changes made to address this issue, or where I should go to report this issue officially? Thank you.
