I'm using snv_81 at home now, I've only seen one problem so far, otherwise it
seems fine. I'm getting approx ~45MB/sec write speeds from Vista x64 to CIFS
onto a mirrored Seagate 7200.11 750GB ZFS system. I have not seen any
inheritance problems with permissions, do you have inheritance set?

This is an example of how I setup my smb shares to provide Windows default
"Full Control" with inheritance:-

# zpool create tank mirror c1t0d0 c1t1d0
# zfs create -o casesensitivity=mixed tank/fs1
# zfs set sharesmb=name=fs1 tank/fs1
# sharemgr show -pv zfs
zfs
    zfs/tank/fs1 smb=()
          fs1=/tank/fs1

# chmod 777 /tank
# chmod A=everyone@:rwxpdDaARWcCos:fd:allow /tank/fs1
# ls -V -d /tank/fs1
drwxrwxrwx+  2 root     root           2 Feb  8 22:48 /tank/fs1
         everyone@:rwxpdDaARWcCos:fd-----:allow
