I am attempting to use a pair of Supermicro AOC-SAT2-MV8 SATA controllers
(Marvell 88sx) on a Intel S3210SHLX mainboard. I choose this board because
it has two PCI-X 64-bit slots, seemingly perfect for my purposes. It seems
this functionality is provided by a Intel 6702PXH bridge, which bridges a
pair of PCI-X busses to a PCIe x4 bus.

After quite a bit of frustration, testing, and reading documentation, it
seems that this bridge chip is some-how causing problems when rebooting. In
SNV_68 I did not have this problem, although I did receive the following
error and am unsure if it related

WARNING: detected unsupported configuration: non-empty bridge (bus 0x0, dev
0x1c, func 0x4) without I/O resources assigned by bios for secondary bus
0x7
WARNING: devices under bridge bus 0x0, dev 0x1c, func 0x4 will not be
assigned I/O ports
