Pleased so far with a fresh install of b83a, I ventured to try CIFS server with ZFS, and in particular smbautohome.
Until presently, I accessed my $HOME via my connection rdesktop -f -r disk:home=$HOME First, I recreated my home directory in zfs with the property casesensitivity=mixed and that seemed to simplify access to files from the open dialog in some programs. But I notice that hidden files are always visible, and turning on/off hidden files in explorer doesn't help. (.config, .dbus, .dt, etc...) Both of these features seem to work fine in rdesktop, but do not have the performance and simplicity of the CIFS server now configured.
