Hi Patrick. You may want to take a look at the Documentation/Troubleshooting links off of the OpenSolaris CIFS Server home page.
http://opensolaris.org/os/project/cifs-server/docs/ http://www.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/Solaris_CIFS_Service_Troubleshooting I am pretty sure that you have the right version of ZFS if the pools were created with an install that had the CIFS server bits. You can try these commands: |# *zpool get version /pool/* # *zfs get version /dataset/*| You will need at least version 9 for the ZFS pool and version 3 for the ZFS dataset. Thanks, Janice Patrick Schlaepfer wrote: > Does > > zpool upgrade -a > > help to get rid of > > cannot share 'naspool/media/video': smb add share failed > > I created the zpool before I enabled smb/server. > > >> Depends on when you created your ZFS pool and >> filesystems you might need >> to upgrade them before they're usable by CIFS.
