I think I know what's happening. smbadm join, for me at least, did not create a servicePrincipalName attribute in my test system's AD computer object. If I add that attribute with multiple values, each of the form <service>/<fqdn> (note: no realm part) it works. (I usually use a different tool to join AD domains than smbadm). Natalie?
