Hi, I am having issues with Comstar on OpenSolaris b85. Sorry, you'll just have to bear with me. I've been an OpenSolaris user for about 6 hours :)
Config: SAN (OpenSolaris with qle2462) connected to Qlogic 1400 FC Switch. 3 other computers (Host Applications with Atto FC42ES) connected to FC Switch. I wanted to load balance 5 drives over my dual FC card in the Solaris (qle2462). So, it'd be 3 or 2 drives per Port. Before going dual Port, I wanted to get one Port working first. I used "create-hg" to create the group "san1" I used "add-hg-member -g san1" to add one of the Atto wwn ports. I then used "create-lu" /dev/rdsk/ct0d0p0 (I did this to all 5 drives [ct1d0p0, ct2d0p0, etc...) I got my hex number for each drive. I then did "add-view -h san1" to 3 of the drives that i wanted to go through that port. Now, I noticed my first issue when I typed in format, and I didn't see the LUNs listed. I figured it's because I did the rawdisk instead of reserving space. So when I went to the Windows PC with the Atto card and did a re-scan for new hardware. Only one of the drives shows up in Computer Management. Any Help would be appreciated. Take care. any help would be appreciated.
