I'm posting this here because I'm using the comstar driver...

I wanted to test comstar so I set up an x86 box running build 89 of OpenSolaris
and a SPARC system running Solaris 10. I have them connected directly with
fiber.

I used the comstar driver on the x86 box to export a disk device.

The Solaris 10 system does indeed see the WWN of the x86 system but I can't
configure it:

# cfgadm -al
...
c5                                    fc-pt_to_pt     connected
unconfigured   unknown
c5::100000000c92f0a3c     unavailable     connected     unconfigured     ok

# cfgadm -f -c configure c5
# cfgadm -al
...
c5                                    fc-pt_to_pt     connected
unconfigured   unknown
c5::100000000c92f0a3c     unavailable     connected     unconfigured     ok

# cfgadm -f -c configure c5::100000000c92f0a3
cfgadm: Library error: report LUNs failed: 100000000c92f0a3

I've never tried to set up a point-to-point fiber connection before so I'm not
sure what I'm missing. The comstar driver appears to be working (?) since I can
see the WWN.
