Hi John, I can't offer much help I'm afraid, but we're in a similar boat in that we want to use x4500's for a CIFS server. My testing in Feb showed that Solaris wasn't quite ready for our needs yet, so our project is on hold for a while and we'll be looking at it again a bit later on. However, I do have a few notes on how we configured ZFS with those servers which I'm happy to share with you. They're pretty basic but could be useful.
