I did a live upgrade of my system from fully patched Solaris 10U4 to fully patched Solaris 10U5. After this, the web console failed to initialize without even producing an error message in its logs. It was continually in a 'starting' state, which svcadm was unable to break. System shutdown seemed to be impacted by this. Investigation with truss showed that a process was attempting to perform a 'connect', which failed and processes were being started over and over.
I de-installed the CAM software and re-installed it. Now web console starts without a problem and I can use CAM to manage the array. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
