Alex,

If I'm not mistaken what you are needing is what is referred to as 
shared-qfs.  Check out: 
http://opensolaris.org/os/project/samqfs/What_are_QFS_and_SAM/

and I've CC'd the sam-qfs discussions list. These folks should be able 
to answer all of your questions.
