Hi All

I have connected PowerEdge 2950 to MD1000 ( SAS Enclosure) using PERC 6/E (LSI
1078 Controller) RAID controller.

Through the mega_sas driver, I am able to see the drives and read/write data to
it.

I am also trying to obtain SES (SCSI Enclosure Services) info from the MD1000
to know the status of the power supplies, fans etc.

In linux, using sg3_utils (http://freshmeat.net/projects/sg3_utils/) I am able
to obtain all the information necessary.

I think the issue is that ses device is not created by OpenSolaris. I have
tried various settings in /kernel/drv/ses.conf, including the one below, but I
am unable to obtain the device.

name="ses" class="scsi" parent="mega_sas" target=0 lun=0;

What I am trying to achieve is what Eric Shrock has done with SUN JS4400
storage array as shown in http://blogs.sun.com/eschrock/category/OpenSolaris

I have tried googling a lot on ses.conf, but they mainly talk about connecting
FC enclosures using luxadm etc.

If you have any suggestions or pointers on what I should try that would be
really helpful.

Thanks
