Hi guys, I'm new here and hopefully will be able to contribute in the future.
For now I need your help. I'm trying o switch from Linux to Solaris as my home server but snv_103 is batling to see my samsung 1TB HD103UJ disks. The disks are conected to the onboard Intel sata chipsets. But drives are coming up as Unkown and I assume this is due to the high cylinder. I've just disable one as 48BIT to mess about and now it's stuck as a 131GB disk and I cant seem to get it back to 1TB. Linux saw this perfectly so why is Solaris 10 x86 limited to 65530 cylinders? Are there any work around? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
