Just wondering if anything has progressed with this bug:
http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6497777

I am currently using Solaris 10u6 and this can be pretty annoying especially
when booting since it seems the system may never boot or take forever trying
if the iSCSI target is offline (at least after iSCSI devices are used in
zpools). The 3-5 minute timeout seems to work properly if no disks are in
use by ZFS.

I've also seen
http://storagefoo.blogspot.com/2007/10/solaris-10-iscsi-configured-with.html
, which suggests using static-config to work around this problem. Does
anyone know if this indeed works around the never-timeout problem? One
problem I am having with static-config is that I only seem to be able to
connect to one of the two IPs on the target array, whereas with sendtargets,
the Solaris initiator is able to correctly discover both IPs and round-robin
between them. (Both IPs are on the same subnet.) The target side also
seems to lack knowledge of TPGTs (it is a Promise VTrak M310i), as I seem to
remember seeing a suggestion somewhere that TPGTs would be a possible
solution to using static-config and multipath.

Thanks in advance.

William Yang
