I'm looking for a large inexpensive internal hard drive solution for a Sparc Sunblade 1500.
The internal IDE is apparently limited to 128GB. I was never sure if this was a hardware or a driver limitation. (Linux LBA 48 drivers solved this on initially limited Linux hardware). Is there anything new on this? Failing that, I would like to find a cheap PCI SATA controller. I understand that Solaris supports the LSIlogic SAS3041X, which is a bit too expensive for my application. Does anyone know of a less expensive PCI SATA card that would work on an SB1500 under Solaris? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
