Just upgraded from b77 to b105 on a X4100M2 system with a 6140 array attached. Seems "fcinfo hba-port" and "luxadm probe" cannot find the QLogic QLE2462 adapter installed on this system: # fcinfo hba-port No Adapters Found.
# luxadm probe ERROR: No Fibre Channel Adapters found. The following thread discussed a similar problem but it couldn't help us: http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=276323 $ uname -a SunOS sanji.il.thewrittenword.com 5.11 snv_105 i86pc i386 i86pc $ pkginfo | egrep 'SUNWql|SUNWfc' system SUNWfchba Sun Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter Library system SUNWfchbar Sun Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter Library (root) system SUNWfcip Sun FCIP IP/ARP over FibreChannel Device Driver system SUNWfcmdb Fibre Channel adb macros and mdb modules system SUNWfcp Sun FCP SCSI Device Driver system SUNWfcprt Fibre Channel HBA Port utility system SUNWfcprtr Fibre Channel HBA Port NPIV utility (root) system SUNWfcsm FCSM driver system SUNWfctl Sun Fibre Channel Transport layer system SUNWqlc Qlogic ISP 2200/2202 Fibre Channel Device Driver system SUNWqlcu Qlogic Fibre Channel Adapter Utilities (usr) $ modinfo | grep qlc 114 fffffffff7d11000 5c128 221 1 qlc (SunFC Qlogic FCA v20080617-2.30) 121 fffffffff7d6beb8 3a658 - 1 qlc_fw_2400 (SunFC Qlogic FCA-FW 4.04.01) What is really troubling is that when the system boots I get: Jan 12 04:46:33 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com genunix: [ID 846333 kern.warning] WARNING: constraints forbid retire: /p...@0,0/pci10de,5...@d And, # cd /var/adm/messages # egrep -i -e 'qlc|qlogic' messages Jan 12 04:46:05 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com qlc: [ID 139792 kern.info] Qlogic qlc(0) FCA Driver v20080617-2.30 Jan 12 04:46:05 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com pcplusmp: [ID 803547 kern.info] pcplusmp: pciex1077,2432 (qlc) instance 0 vector 0x41 ioapic 0xff intin 0xff is bound to cpu 1 Jan 12 04:46:05 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com qlc: [ID 657001 kern.info] Qlogic qlc(0) WWPN=210000e08b87b813 : WWNN=200000e08b87b813 Jan 12 04:46:08 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com qlc: [ID 630585 kern.info] NOTICE: Qlogic qlc(0): Loop ONLINE Jan 12 04:46:08 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com qlc: [ID 694252 kern.info] NOTICE: qlc(0): Firmware version 4.4.1 Jan 12 04:46:08 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com pcie_pci: [ID 586369 kern.info] PCIE-device: pci1077,1...@0, qlc0 Jan 12 04:46:08 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] qlc0 is /p...@0,0/pci10de,5...@d/pci1077,1...@0 Jan 12 04:46:08 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com qlc: [ID 139792 kern.info] Qlogic qlc(1) FCA Driver v20080617-2.30 Jan 12 04:46:08 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com pcplusmp: [ID 444295 kern.info] pcplusmp: pciex1077,2432 (qlc) instance #1 vector 0x42 ioapic 0xff intin 0xff is bound to cpu 1 Jan 12 04:46:08 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com qlc: [ID 657001 kern.info] Qlogic qlc(1) WWPN=210100e08ba7b813 : WWNN=200100e08ba7b813 Jan 12 04:46:10 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com qlc: [ID 630585 kern.info] NOTICE: Qlogic qlc(1): Loop ONLINE Jan 12 04:46:10 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com qlc: [ID 694252 kern.info] NOTICE: qlc(1): Firmware version 4.4.1 Jan 12 04:46:10 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com pcie_pci: [ID 586369 kern.info] PCIE-device: pci1077,1...@0,1, qlc1 Jan 12 04:46:10 sanji.il.thewrittenword.com genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] qlc1 is /p...@0,0/pci10de,5...@d/pci1077,1...@0,1 >From prtconf: # prtconf ... pci10de,5d, instance #2 pci1077,143, instance #0 (retired) pci1077,143, instance #1 (retired) ... Does the prtconf output reveal that our QLogic card is no longer supported? -- albert chin ([email protected]) _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
