I have not. The 1068E chip and mpt driver appear to be doing their job. However, just one note of caution regarding the x4540... there was a recent ILOM/BIOS update released for it which includes actual LSI MPT- Fusion BIOS and firmware image files (not that stinking bootable ISO crap that you get with the rest of the Galaxy line), yet no instructions on how to apply these two files. I knew raidctl could probably do it, so I gave it a try. I applied the .fw file to each of the 6 controllers, then applied the bios file to the same. After a reboot, the MPT BIOS init screen complained of a bad BIOS and demanded that you hit F1 to continue. I curled my toes and did so, and eventually after a second reboot, everything seemed kosher. My one big complaint (out of two - the other is that ILOM email alerts are broken) is how Sun packages the LSI MPT-Fusion updates on a bootable ISO only... with no way of applying them from the OS (using raidctl for example.) And when they do give you the actual ROM images, no instructions or reassurance on the correct way to apply them. /dale _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
