Ok, great I was just making sure I was heading in the right direction. I would
add, one shouldn't use DFS in the scenario of autohome because DFS redirects
and/or replicates shares, not servers. If I didn't use autohome and quotas I
would have to whip up a policing script so I can send staff members nasty grams
for going over their quota.

We have a couple x4500s and are in K12 so we have a few thousand users, with
stored profiles, but under two thousand simultaneous accesses at peak usage. My
intentions are to play with the bleeding edge now, get many of the students on
it soon so we have some preparation for the caveats of the next final. To date
we have never had any sort of *real* disaster recovery and candidly I must
admit we are not investing in a better fault tolerance system. However, I think
we can get good service by analyzing our typical user loads, staff sync and
students redirect. Then I'll split the load between the two devices and mirror
the file systems. So at least we can resolve a single failure issue under an
hour. Does that sound like a step in the right direction?
