Hi,
The reason of this failure is that the Crossbow project (which went into
build 105) changed the MAC client interface used by FCoE software.
We are planning another code drop which addresses this issue in March.
Please stay tuned. An announcement will be made at
http://opensolaris.org/os/project/fcoe/ soon.
Before that code drop, you can try out FCoE on build 103 and 104 (in
case you have the install media).
Thanks & Regards,
Zhong

I have exactly the ssame problem with SXDE build 107.
bash-3.2# fcadm create-fcoe-port e1000g1
Failed: Can not open fcoe device
bash-3.2# dladm show-link
LINK CLASS MTU STATE OVER
e1000g1 phys 8106 unknown --
e1000g0 phys 8106 up --
bash-3.2# dladm show-ether
LINK PTYPE STATE AUTO SPEED-DUPLEX PAUSE
e1000g1 current unknown yes 0M-h bi
e1000g0 current up yes 1G-f bi
If I plumb the interface it still gives me the same error.
I have followed this guide:
http://opensolaris.org/os/project/fcoe/files/confguide-20081121.txt
Anyone has any idea?
Thanks a lot!
