Hi,

I've an OpenSolaris 2008.11 snv_101b_rc2 X86 machine, Allika, that's serving
home directories via NFS to a lot of clients. One Solaris 10 client, Toompea,
is able to hit Allika's nfs share;however, a zone on the same box (Tirgu) is
not. I get the following on Tirgu when he tries:

Apr 9 11:49:06 Tirgu nfs: [ID 664466 kern.notice] NFS compound failed for
server Allika.CoLo: error 27 (RPC: Received disconnect from remote)
/net/Allika.CoLo/jritorto: Permission denied
r...@tirgu~[7]11:49#Apr 9 11:49:36 Tirgu last message repeated 2 times
Apr 9 11:49:36 Tirgu nfs: [ID 434519 kern.warning] WARNING: NFS server initial
call to Allika.CoLo failed: I/O error
Apr 9 11:49:36 Tirgu automountd[21020]: [ID 834250 daemon.error] Mount of
Allika.CoLo:/jritorto on /net/Allika.CoLo/jritorto: I/O error

When this happens, the server, Allika ceases responding to all other NFS
requests for a minute or so and complains thusly (yes, timestamps are in sync):

Apr 9 11:48:56 Allika nfssrv: [ID 939466 kern.warning] WARNING: nfsauth:
mountd has not established door
Apr 9 11:49:03 Allika mountd[23281]: [ID 664212 daemon.error] No default
domain set
Apr 9 11:49:13 Allika mountd[23295]: [ID 664212 daemon.error] No default
domain set
Apr 9 11:49:33 Allika mountd[23309]: [ID 664212 daemon.error] No default
domain set

One datapoint I should mention is that NFSMAPID_DOMAIN is purposely being
overridden from what DNS is claiming because we want to be able to have NFS
communication across zones (filer is at the colo and workstations are in a
separate 'desktop' DNS zone).

I don't want to bail and disable NFSv4, and would like to fix this correctly.
Please let me know if you have any insight or require further details.

thx
jake
