Yes, it's opensolaris, and I did just let it have the whole disk, so I
guess I'm hosed without reinstalling (unless zfs is smart enough to be
able to shrink a partition?).

The other question is is the zil sequential in nature?  It seems like it
would be, and wouldn't require the more expensive ssds that have good
random write performance?
