Hi all,
We have a number of x4240 systems from Sun, with a LSI MegaSAS card (LSI 3081E). These systems have anywhere between 8 and 12 2.5" 10k RPM SAS drives. The systems perform well, in general. We recently attempted to add an Intel x25-e drive as zil offload, and things went south really quickly. The pastebin link below shows the progression, from the system's point of view. The last few messages about drive missing are true, I yanked it so that the system could recover. http://pastebin.com/d6d6b33e0 Now, from what I understand, this is the same drive that Sun sells, though we didn't buy it from Sun. Of course, this means I have to turn to the community for support. Does anyone have a clue as to how we can resolve some of these issues? We are running the latest firmware from Sun (though I think there is a newer firmware from LSI directly). This problem is very similar to problems seen before: http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=314053񌫅 Thanks for your help.
