Sumit,
Thanks for mentioning SPD. It works fine with tape device and autoloader
however I have not update it this year. I do not know if the binaries
fit the latest solaris version.
Michael,
Which Soalris version are you using? Mail me if you have any problem
with the SPD driver.

The sbd LU provider is for emulating SCSI disks from existing files or
raw devices. What you need here is exporting an existing SCSI device out
as it is. I think there was work done to do a pass through LU provider.
I don't know how far it went but you can try it. The link is given
below.

Subject: [storage-discuss] COMSTAR and UltraSCSI tape devices
Hello guys,
I have an old(ish) StorEDGE C2 U320 tape drive with an autoloader. A
truly
wonderful machine. But can I connect it to a host and then use COMSTAR
to
make it available to the fabric?
If so, how? With the usual sbdadm/stmfadm?
Thanks.
P.S.
I've been using COMSTAR in a fabric environment with Thumpers and
other
devices with great success. I just want to use this opportunity and
thank
the COMSTAR team on their great work!
