Yes. AFAIK, Emulex LP21000 CNA works with COMSTAR FC target by setting
target-mode=0 in emlxs.conf.
The CNA is hardware offloading FCoE, so it would appear to OS as normal FC adapter together with ethernet card, right ?

Emulex mentions that way of operation in their LP21000 series description, but I couldn't find that on Qlogic QLE8142 pages.
I don't have any information about QLE8142, either.
And for drivers, would the usual FC/ethernet OpenSolaris drivers work,
including FC target mode ?
emlxs is the OpenSolaris driver for all Emulex FC HBAs, including CNA.
It works in either FC initiator mode or target mode, decided by the
target-mode setting in emlxs.conf. Solaris ixgbe driver works with the
Ethernet interface of LP21000 CNA very well.
