Jake,
For OpenSolaris 11/08, you are using the iSCSI
Target Daemon, and
thus a means to look inside the daemon as to what
is doing can be
accomplished by DTrace:

Topics_iSCSI
Goodness, this is the most compelling reason yet for me to finally
learn DTrace.
Excellent !
Is there a COMSTAR/itadm equivalent of 'iscsitadm
show stats'
equivalent for snv_112+? That was very handy.
No, there is no 'stat' command available for the
iSCSI Target in
COMSTAR.
But just to allow me to procrastinate a moment longer on that ;),
does anyone know if the 112 ON stuff with 'iscsiadm stat'
functionality will be included in the OS2009.06 release? And does
'iscsitadm stat' allow one to see the current, immediate utilisation
by the various targets?
No it will not. iscsitadm is the CLI for administering the iSCSI
Target Daemon (iscsitgtd). In due time software associated with this
daemon will be removed from OpenSolaris, as the future for iSCSI and
other SCSI based targets is COMSTAR.
The CLIs associated with COMSTAR and its administration of SCSI
Targets and associated LUNs do not include 'stat' like command options.
Preliminary work is underway to add kstats to COMSTAR, but this is
just the means to make available raw statistics, which can be obtained
with the 'kstat' CLI, or libkstat.so At that point additional
consideration can be given to enhance the CLI 'iostat', or other CLI
options to gain administrator observability into COMSTAR and its
various SCSI Targets.
Jim
thx
