Hi Ellis,
I never tried this with a 1064[e]. What's the output of "grep mpt
/etc/driver_aliases"?

It doesn't look like there is much discussion of the mptt target mode
driver for LSI SAS controllers, but I'm having trouble getting the
latest version (Feb 2009) to work in Solaris Express nv_114, and I was
hoping someone could get me pointed in the right direction.
I install the OS with defaults to an LSI 1068e-based controller without
trouble, and add a 1064e 4 port SAS controller to put into target mode.
Then I install the mptt shared libraries, kernel drivers and mptt.conf.
I run through the steps on
_http://opensolaris.org/os/project/comstar/mptt/_
And

In addition, using LSIutil option 13, I enable target mode and disable
initiator mode on all 4 ports of the 1064e.
But, after what should be the reboot that gets things working, I always
find that while the mptt driver is loaded according to modinfo, it is
not attached (as shown in mdb -k and prtconf -v). And when I look at
the device path in /etc/path_to_inst which is associated to mptt, that
device is not there. The directory which should contain it is empty.
This behavior has persisted through 2 installs of opensolaris, so I
don't think it's just a simple fluke, but any pointers would be
appreciated. I'll watch the forum for replies.
Thanks,
Ellis
