Ok, so at least it seems possible on OpenSolaris / ZFS. I've now
asked the Sun guys whether it's going to be possible on the
OpenStorage 7000 series of storage servers, as unfortunately my
OpenSolaris is not at that level and we're looking to get the
appliance.
Try one today!
By getting the Sun Unified Storage Simulator, you can install and
manage a virtual Sun Storage 7000 Unified Storage System on your
laptop or desktop.
