Quick questions, does the COMSTAR iSCSI target support Microsoft's MPIO DSM? I've seen some threads, and seen myself, some issues when attempting to use the MS MPIO with COMSTAR (was referenced to bug 6829059). But in terms of performance, will COMSTAR use MPIO both directions, to make efficient use of active/active paths? I was hoping to have some initiators with 4x Gbit NICs connect to my x4540 (also 4 NICs) with MPIO to get effectively 4Gbit worth of read/write performance. However, on some forums, I've read that if the target doesn't support the MS MPIO driver, that only write performance will take advantage, and reads will stick to one link and see any advantage to multiple paths (besides redundancy).
Does anyone have any more information, or experience with the MS MPIO and COMSTAR? Thanks -- Brent Jones [email protected] _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
