What I have done in the past with PERCs is create a raid0 lv for each
disk with write-back, no read-ahead and direct io.
Then in Solaris create a zpool of mirrors like:
# zpool create tank mirror cXtXdX cYtYdY mirror cZtZdZ cAtAdA ....
spare cJtJdJ
There you go.
