Hello all,
I am trying to get some input as to what would be the best way to solve this
problem. I promise any idea is better than what we have now which is nothing.
We have a server running opensolaris snv_127(failover), and another
snv_122(primary). Failover has a tape drive attached. Primary is an iscsi san
server that holds virtual machines as well as data for 2 esxi 4.0 servers and
virtual machines located there. What the problem is, is there is no failover
going on. So I need to be able to sync the primary to the failover, backup data
to tape, and hopefully get the iscsi info so that if something catastrophic
does occur, I do not need to recreate all of the iscsi targets. The solutions
that I have seen are either a mirror through iscsi, or using avs. Does anyone
have any ideas how I can accomplish atleast most of these goals. And if so any
pointers at all would be hugely helpful. Network is gigabit through a switch,
and if needed they can be put together with a crossover cable.

Thanks,
Greg
