We have just finished setting up our COMSTAR san but we are getting some major performance issues. We have a single 12 drive raidz2 pool. The drives on the back end are hooked up with 4GB fibrechannel wit a PAC 48 drive SAN. Since we couldn't configure the SAN to JBOD, we created a single raid 0 per drive, for a total of 12 raid 0's attached to the Solaris box. We are running open Solaris 2009.6. We tried updating to the latest dev build but each time we tried, we would get stuck in a reboot loop. We verified that write cache is enabled on all the drives with format -e. We are using Emulex Fibrechannel cards connected to the drives and qlogic 2462 cards in target mode connected to the windows 2008 server.
