(Incidentally an ubuntu live CD can read the sectors ok so I assume the disks themselves are fine) Using the format command I can see the disks, but they are: <drive type unknown> Many messages show: gda: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING: /p...@0,0/pci-...@9/i...@1/c...@0,0 (Disk0): Error for command 'read sector' Error Level: Informational gda: [ID 107833 kern.notice] Sense Key: aborted command gda: [ID 107833 kern.notice] Vendor 'Gen-ATA' error code: 0x3 Is there something about the SATA driver which is not able to read the disks properly? For information, scanpci shows things like this: pci bus 0x0000 cardnum 0x09 function 0x00: vendor 0x10de device 0x0ad0 nVidia Corporation MCP78S [GeForce 8200] SATA Controller (non-AHCI mode) _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list storage-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss _______________________________________________ storage-discuss mailing list storage-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/storage-discuss
