Hi
I created a 32G de-duped zvol and exported via comstar iSCSI to a windows
machine. It works great but I have a big problem: if I take a snapshot and
after one day want to destroy it (less than 1Gb changed), it takes hours to
complete the "zfs destroy" command. On the same disks I have several other fs
exported via samba and deleting snapshots takes seconds.
Is there something I am missing? How do I check what the hell the machine is
doing while destroying? Iostat show very little I/O, and top tells me the
machine is 95% idle.
Also I noticed that if I "zfs send" the zvol to a backup machine, that machine
often seems hung, only responds to ping. This on different hardware and also
virtual.
Using snv 134 on x86 64bit Xeon with 4Gb RAM and 4 sata disks.
Any ideas?
Thanks
