Hi, actually with current releases (post snv_116) you don't need to really migrate.
After snv_116 comstar uses meta data to store the properties, so no problem here on the data side. However metadata needs migration. Background is explained here: http://www.storageconcepts.de/uploads/media/iSCSI_Comstar_Migration_Tests_1b.pdf Altought the document is NexentaStor specific, it applies to OpenSolaris in general. Actually there are also some videos here demonstrating that the migration is transparent: http://www.storageconcepts.de/produkte/nexentastor/videolog/ Constraints ? Comstar only supports 64 (most current release 255) Targets, but 16k lun's each. This limits the mentioned mapping migration a little bit.
