I've never see that. Is it in KDE or Gnome? The only lit bomb I know of is
for core files (Basically an application crashed and left the file for debug
purposes).

Assuming you are connected to the Internet (ie: you can use Netscape from a
regular user ID--it won't work from root) then use the Storm Package Manager
to connect to Storm's ftp site and add/download software from there.
